Employee Persona Lab
The Conversation Is the Skill. Practice It Before It's Real.
7 Personas · A Conversation Evaluation Framework · A Reusable Persona Template
AIIHRM Employee Persona Lab
Every persona roleplay is scored against the same seven dimensions, so a learner's conversational skill can be tracked across very different situations — from a demanding high performer to a defensive toxic manager.
As with the other AIIHRM labs, the overall score is the average across all seven dimensions. A learner who de-escalates beautifully but never sets a clear boundary, or who sets a firm boundary but shows no empathy, has not yet mastered the conversation — both halves are required.
Every persona in this course — and every one added later — follows the same six-part template, so the course can grow to cover new situations without losing consistency.
Get to Know Us
Knowing what to decide is not the same as knowing how to say it. An HRBP can have the right call fully reasoned out — and still damage trust, provoke defensiveness, or fail to land the message, because the conversation itself was mishandled. AI Employee Persona Lab™ is built entirely around that second skill: the conversation.
Learners don't read about “how to handle a difficult employee.” They open a live AI roleplay of a difficult employee — with a name, a history, a defensive streak, and a specific reason to be defensive today — and have the actual conversation. The AI stays in character, pushes back the way a real person would, and the transcript becomes the evidence of skill.
Design Principles
-
Every persona has a psychological logic, not just a label — the roleplay only teaches something if the AI's pushback is realistic, not caricatured.
-
The learner is scored on how they communicated, not just whether they reached a reasonable outcome — tone, sequencing, and word choice all count.
-
Every module names the single hardest dimension for that persona, so learners know what they are specifically being tested on, not just “handling the conversation well” in the abstract.
-
Personas are built to be re-usable and extensible via a single template, so new personas (the returning-from-leave employee, the whistleblower, the cross-cultural conflict) can be added without redesigning the course.
